Weapon Detection AI Showcased by Vizgard at Security & Policing 2025
We were proud to showcase our latest weapon detection AI, knife detection, and control room automation solutions at this year’s record-breaking Security & Policing event, the official UK Government global security exhibition. The invitation-only event, approved by the Home Office, brought together senior law enforcement leaders, security agencies, and international delegations to explore the next generation of public safety technology.

From the opening of the show, our stand attracted strong interest from end-users looking to integrate AI-powered weapon detection into their operations. We held detailed discussions with diplomatic delegations and senior Home Office representatives on deploying concealed weapon detection in high-profile security projects and safeguarding public spaces in line with the upcoming requirements of Martyn’s Law.
Our Business Development Manager, Ash Risby, joined a Home Office panel in the Innovation Zone, where he shared insights on how artificial intelligence for weapon detection, including knives, can help police forces and security operators make communities safer, improve efficiency, and reduce the growing demands on control room staff.

We were privileged to be part of this year’s immersive experience, where our knife detection technology was shown in a realistic live-scenario setting alongside video content that brought its capabilities to life, in a high-energy environment created by JSaRC and OneTwo that drew people to our stand and sparked valuable conversations about the future of technology in public safety.

A highlight of the event was our inclusion in the Joint Security and Resilience Centre’s (JSaRC) Safer Streets immersive experience. In this live, high-pressure simulation, FortifAI, our edge-based AI platform, demonstrated how automated surveillance can detect threats in real time, enhance situational awareness, and enable faster, more coordinated responses.
Earlier this year, we also previewed FortifAI and our AI weapon detection prototype at the UK Home Office Promotional Showcase — [read more here].
This event reinforced our position as a trusted UK provider of weapon detection AI and advanced surveillance technology for public safety, law enforcement, and national security. By delivering interoperable, mission-ready solutions, we are helping to protect public spaces across the UK and allied nations, and to support organisations preparing for the implementation of Martyn’s Law.
